Last week the Lexington Division of Police released the 2012 Traffic Analysis Summary and Comparison. The report, prepared by traffic analysis Julia Shaw, contains several graphs and charts and tallies related to the number of calls for traffic service, traffic violations cited, collisions (for vehicles, bicycles, motorcycles and pedestrians), annual DUI arrests and a number of other metrics.

(Note: the report reflects data collected by the Lexington Division of Police, it does not include data collected from other agencies with jurisdiction in Lexington, such as UKPD and Kentucky State Police. Click here to see the full report.)

According to the report, the stretch of road along Man O’ War Boulevard between Alumni Drive and Easthills Drive saw the most “between street collisions,” with 43 incidents. The West Reynolds Road roundabout, at the intersection of Keithshire Way and Wellington Way, was the “top intersection collision location” with 36 incidents; the intersection of Fontaine Road and St. Ann Drive at Richmond Road was second on the list with 28 incidents. The location with the highest amount red light-running collisions was the intersection of East Vine Street and Rose Street, which saw nine incidents.
